FRET
A coach, a band and a studio in your pocket. Practise with a daily plan, jam with drums and bass, record your ideas. The tuner and metronome are built in.
pentatonic
Practise. Create. Play better.
Three ways FRET makes you a better musician, every time you pick up your guitar.
A routine built from your goals and the time you have, with a timer for every step, a streak and your tempo progress.
- Guided practice sessions
- Daily streak
- Tempo history
- Speed trainer
Jam over drums and bass in any key, build a beat, record your ideas, then loop them, slow them down and see the chords you played.
- Jam tracks
- Drum machine
- Recorder & take tools
- Chord recognizer
- Capo & transpose
Short games that train what lessons skip: hearing intervals, knowing every note on the neck and changing chords cleanly.
- Ear training
- Fretboard notes
- Chord changes
- Scale finder
Practise with a plan.
Tell FRET your goals and the time you have. It builds today’s routine and walks you through it with the real tools, never a wall of instructions.

Questions
Is FRET just a tuner?
No. The tuner and metronome are there when you need them, but FRET is built to make you a better musician: a daily practice plan, jam tracks to play over, a recorder for your ideas and short games for your ear and fretboard.
Is my playing uploaded anywhere?
No. The tuner, chord recognizer and recorder process sound on your iPhone in real time. Recordings stay on your phone unless you sign in and turn on recording backup (Pro).
Do I need an account?
No. Every tool works without one. An account only adds sync across devices and, with Pro, recording backup.
Does FRET check whether I played cleanly?
No, and it never pretends to. Tempo history shows the tempos you practised with. Exercises you count yourself are labelled that way.
Which instruments does it support?
Guitar (6 and 7-string, 18 tunings), bass (4 and 5-string) and ukulele. Chord and scale diagrams are for 6-string guitar.
Is FRET available in French?
Yes. The app and this website are in English and French.
What happens after the free trial?
The yearly plan starts with 7 days free, then €4.99 a year, renewing until you cancel. Cancel any time in your Apple ID settings at least 24 hours before the trial ends and you won’t be charged.
Is there an Android version?
Not yet. FRET is built for iPhone first.
